If you've not played Chrono Trigger yet, then definitely don't delay. If you've played Chrono Trigger and wonder what the DS Port is like, then just know that it's based on the PlayStation port, with an HUD and Menu's retooled to suit the DS' layout, as well as the new arena mode where you can rear monsters in order to win fabulous prizes (i.e. sexy equips).
And yes, Metal Slug Anthology and MGS3: Subsistence are great time sinks. Subsistence is also special since it's probably the most "complete" version of MGS3. IIRC even the HD remake and anniversary boxset missed out on some of the goodies the second disc has to offer.
