Just so you'd know that. With that out of the way, lets get to the review.

The background is very, VERY nice, ya know? Sure, there's some distortion here and there, but overall, you've managed to express the sheer explosive power of CHOU GATTAI with the manly burning spirit that is gurren lagann. +1 for that.

Moving on, it looks like you've tried fitting adult Mario into young Simon's body. The end result is that the proportions look off. From the neckline and above, it looks like another character, while the torso seems unusually compressed and the right hand ended up even more tinier than the left. The chest area of the torso seems fine, but the rest look like they're scrunched upwards. Finally, the cloak should be billowing from both sides. As it is now, the cloak looks smaller to the observer.

3.5 for the effort... and the snazzy label. You should plan drawings well ahead and work on your anatomy skills. You've got really good potential, keep on practicing! BELIEVE IN THE YOU THAT BELIEVES IN YOURSELF!

I will say, I am still improving my anatomy skills and it is hard to tell whatever if it natural or not. My style is trying to be more fast-paced while keeping it natural at the same time, making more detail than my last year's drawing. I still study anatomy in the real world as well, but also drawing it from the ground up can make the proportions look wired.
